Oh Fiddlesticks and Fudge… The Tube Race is Over!
Posted on July 30, 2004

2 Hours, 56 Minutes, 39 Seconds
That time not only smashed the existing record for visiting every Tube Station in Zone 1 by a massive twenty minutes, it was good enough for second place in the race. Tom Reynolds and I were beaten back from first place by a margin of 49 seconds. Over three hours. How close was that?
Been a good day, but I have jelly legs and a right arm that’s very sore (was using it to slingshot round tight corners). Going to bed now, and will write more on the adventure tomorrow and over the next few days. In the meantime, Tom has a nice review that puts a lot of what I’m feeling into words.

Ok. That’s a wierd challenge

indeedy, thanks and congrats for the great idea it proved to be…
I’m off for the next week still, and I’m determined to prove Jody, Dom, Cheryl’s and my route to be correct - so it could see a solo effort against the clock. Irrelevent to the race, but for my own piece of mind. I hardly slept last night, after all…
