Astraware Joins All About Palm… Kind of

A big thanks to Howard Tomlinson. You’ll know him (probably) as the CEO of Astraware. He’s behind the programming of tiltes like Bejewelled, so can be blamed for a huge amount of lost time in any workplace that has a Palm Powered Device. Anyway, after talking extensivly with him at the PalmSource DevCon, he said he’d be happy to do some occassional articles about Palm OS if he had a suitable outlet - which is like holding a small pile of Acme catalouges up to a Coyote. The end result is his first article, a review of Orange’s Treo 650, on All About Palm, just a little thing… 1600 word or so! Anyway, welcome aboard Howard.
Also jumping up to reviewing duties for AAP is Steve Turczyn. An old time Psion user (well he is called Steve…) who moved to Palm and stayed there (unlike, say, Steve Litchfield, who came back to Symbian after a long absence). He offered his services through Litchfield, and given his terack record in reviews in Palmtop (and other palces) he’s someone that was made more than welcome. The fact he’s managed to get a LifeDrive is neither here nor there.
Couple those two announcements with Michael Mace (PalmSource’s Chief Competitive Officer) coming into the Forums to answer questions from Forum members (and risking a huge flame war on his part, kudos to Michael) and you’ll see All About Palm is pretty aggressivly going after the market. which is good, because I’m not sure the Chief is 100% convinced it can break even…
