Living “The High Life” on FlyGlobeSpan

Oh dearie me! I wasn’t going to buy anything on the flight home from Barcelona. I had my water and some chewing gum. Now that idea went out the window when the plane was delayed for an hour (bad weather on the preceding flight) but stepping on board the FlyGlobeSpan 737 has incredibly strange.

A Scottish airline, with Scottish Cabin Crew, the distinctive burr was enough to evoke a subtle “Steve and Sebastian” reference in my head. When the Captain came over the tannoy to announce the delay to the flight from Barcelona to Glasgow, and the current weather on the west coast… followed by a silent ‘oh bugger’ and a vocal ‘I meant Edinburgh of course,’ well the illusion was complete. I was, in fact, travelling on Air Scotia, from the oft-missed BBC Show “The High Life.”

Did I mention the in-flight snacks menu consisted of tins of Irn-Bru and Tunnocks Caramel Wafers?
