I’ll Be Appearing on BBC Radio Scotland’s Soundbiters

BBC Radio ScotlandJust off the phone with BBC Radio Scotland – no they’ve not decided to syndicate TPN Rock (what do you think this is, American NPR?) – but they’re looking for panel members for Soundbiters and they’ve asked me if I would like to appear. “Well, there is a rider, so I’ll want some Irn-Bru and some Tunnocks Tea Cakes waiting for me.” As they’ve agreed to this, I’m there! From the listing page:

Soundbiters (1/5).
David Robertson with a topical quiz, asking people who’ve made the headlines about the headlines.

I’ll be appearing in the “Podcasters” team alongside Mark Hunter from The Tartan Podcas Tartanpodcast (*) and we’ll be taking on the fearsome might of a team of Dinner Ladies. I’m not sure what would make the more impressive headline. Anyway, the car is picking me up tomorrow morning at 7.30am to take me to my First Class carriage train through to Glasgow. It’s nice when the licence fee actually works for me.

No news on where in the run of five shows we’ll be appearing, but the first show goes out this Friday at 1130, and repeated that night at half past midnight for the drunks. Plus it’ll be in the Listen Again feature for everyone in the UK or who has a UK proxy. I’ll let you all know when it airs.

(*) Yes, Mark, I know you want it as tartanpodcast, but even with my limited grammar skills I know that nouns have capital letters. The west coast of Scotland may be phasing the shift key out of existence, but I’m going to argue this petty and worthless point until Crow tells me to stop.
