Using Amazon to Bypass The Fourth Amendment
Just a completely scary article about using the freely available Amazon data and what you can do with it.Nothing like posting a map of the location of all teh people reading 1984 in the USA to make you ignore the Fourth Amendment. Mind you, if the President can get away with it, why not the general public?
There are many websites and databases that could be used for this
project, but few things tell you as much about a person as the books he
chooses to read. Isn’t that why the Patriot Act specifically requires
libraries to release information on who’s reading what? For this
reason, I chose to focus on the information contained in the popular
Amazon wishlists.
