Life On Mars Gettting Better and Better

Loving Life on Mars. Lots of plot, lots of creepy stuff, and some great TV moments. For example, let’s look at the elements of this shot from the opening on episode three…

We have a one way street, a man in a Janitors coat stacking boxes. Our hero Sam Taylor walking back to his Ford Cortina. A girl with her shopping. And a teenager with an afro on his bike riding on the path. I’ll give you 60 seconds to work out what’s going to happen next…

Yaay!!!

“Drop your weapons! You’re surrounded by armed bass-tards!” yeah! “Shut it laughin’ boy!”

I love the show! LOVE IT!

I’m so sad, I went and made my own Life on Mars Soundtrack based on the published track list from the Life on Mars BBC website! And it rocks!

The seventies may not have had PC Terminal or Mobile Phones, but did they have music!?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that while I wasn’t around in 1973, my parents were busy making sure I would be!

Oh man, that’s gotta be my Dad’s old Ford Cortina! 30 years later and I still remember it, a heap of junk by today’s standards but a great car at the time, think about the Austin Maxi, and you’ll see the competition wasn’t much…
