The Web 2.0 Definition
Everyone seems to be going for these cute little pics of Web 2.0, so after discussions with Lance Anderson (who I stayed with in March on my USA trip) I present the definition of Web 2.0 that I use.

Put simply, if your application can run happily on a PC with a 56K dial up, it’s 1.0, and if you ‘need’ broadband, welcome to 2.0. So Flickr, all that uploading, needs broadband. It’s a 2.0 app. Bitorrent? 2.0. Carry on with the example – and yes i know you can break it easily with arguments, but nobody said it was easy…
And if it involves kittens, it’s definitly a 2.0!
