Life On Mars to End After Second Series
On reflection, ending the time travelling cop series Life on Mars and bringing it to an end at the close of the upcoming (second) series is probably a good call by the writing team. The story has obviously got a fixed begining middle and end, and they want to make sure they get to the end. The shooting schedule is horrendous, made all the worse by John Simms needing to be in pretty much every scene.
So do you close the story and get to the end, or gamble your UK based actors don’t walk? And can you keep the interest up? All in all, I think the answer was, maybe, but lets make sure and close it at 2 seasons, 16 episodes total.
