Celebrity Big Brother Initial Thoughts

Celebrity Big Brother starts, and it’s car crash viewing as normal. Time for some snap thoughts on the residents as I veg out with the last of the selection box…

Jermaine Jackson
A strong opener, and will allow Channel 4 to proclaim that they are still the strongest celebrity cast in the world.

Danielle Lloyd
Who? Oh, dated a footballer. Which means she’ll never win as pople who support teams other than her boyfriend will block vote against her automatically.

Ken Russell
UK film director, famous for showing Oliver Reed’s arse in “Women in Love,” Roger Daltrey’s eyes in Tommy and the ever controversial “Devils.” Should prove a bundle of eccentric moments as the crazy old Englishman.

Jo from S Club 7
Yegads - a member of teeny bopper formulaic dance troupe (which nowadays passes for a band), but should provide perfect tabloid fodder thanks to a million photo shoots from previous ‘career.’ Prolly the most potogenic as well going by the papperazi demands for a photo as she approached.

Leo Sayer
Now that’s what I call a Pop Star. Should get through to the final night. And my thoughts go out to Anthony Rowlinson (sp) editor of Autosport, who’s the spitting image of Sayer and gets enough of a ribbing in the pit lane as it is. Could also be an intesting pairing with Jackson.

Shilpa Shetty
Bollywood star, and is going to be an absolute willdcard. Is sure to have a huge following thanks to her film career, but will they vote? I would be interested to know just what her star potential is… do we have a Reece Witherspoon or a Reece Shearsmith here?

Carole Malone
Hey, a columnist from The Mirror. There’s a way to make sure you get press coverage for your programme. Recieved the most hostile crowd reaction. Likely to be out straight away on her first vote, which mens she can get back to the press before it’s all over. A masterstroke, but for Channel 4 or for Fleet Street?

Donny Tourette
Lead singer from the Towers of London. Superb counterpoint to the ever so nice so Jo from S Club 7, and a rough diamond that could easily get to the final night if the world can cope with a Johnny Rotten wannabe. And will sell a lot records from his next album.

‘H’ From Steps
S Club and Steps fans are going to be lined up at dawn to back their group. Lets face it, there’s no venom like the venom between Duranites and Spandau ‘fans’ so this is gonna be a kiddie spat, but a fun one to watch.

Cleo Rocos
Great choice, fits the mould of older celebrtiy looking for a career kick, but to me simply makes me miss Kenny Everett - what a shame he isn’t around to go into the house.

Dirk Benedict
Starbuck! Well, the male Starbuc, so perhaps not as exciting as it first sounds, so let’s just go with the cheery moemnt of him not turning up in a Limo, but a van. With a red stripe. To that music. Gorgeous! Snap decision from me is that he’s the best bet for a winner.
