The Podcast Network Charts

One of the things that I’d torn about is having a public facing ‘Top Ten Podcasts’ at The Podcast Network. On one hand, the strength in a network is the diversity of content, and the long tail of all the information. But on the other hand, having the more ‘mainstream’ shows on display makes us more accessible to the casual visitor. And I’d be concious that it would give a bigger boost to the more popular programs… swings and roundabouts.
But the point of bringing this up is that the monthly chart of TPN Shows has arrived again, and three things spring out at me. First of all, Today in Music History has managed to get a good audience and break into the Top Ten for December - which is great given that it seemed to have a very rocky start in November. It broke into the Top Ten this month, so congrats to Brian.
My PSP show kept its position in the upper echelon, although there wasn’t a full load of shows produced in the month - The PSP Show is a great long tail example, with each show tagged up and labelled to review a single game, along with the weekly news and some colour articles.
Finally, TPN Rock yet again stalled at number two, failing to prise the number one spot away from Scot Shermans Digital Photography Show which has been there for five months now. And of course, with Iain Foulds (who normally does the Monday show at TPN Rock) stuck in Bethel, Alaska, at the end of a 28.8k dial up modem (bless) I’m going to have to hustle a touch on TPN Rock for the rest of January and into February. And that, my dear reader, is something you’ll hear more about on Monday. I have a cunning plan.

Could you publish it. Cam has told me in the past he has no problem with the podcasters publishing the numbers.
Where did GW come?
Molly
Molly, Molly, Molly…. you really think people care enough that I should publish it? Anyway… GW came in at #3.
