If My Life Was a Movie, What Would the Soundtrack Be? (Yes, more Blog Tag).

So it’s Blog Tag version two. CC Chapman got this one in the email, and he’s decided to break cover, post it on the blog and get it rolling. Although rather than tag me by a link (and google juice) I just get an email instead. G’ah. Okay, over to Mr C to explain:
Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc). Put it on shuffle. Press play. For every question below, type the song that’s playing. When you go to a new question, press the next button. Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool …
So time to reset my “PC Shuffle” auto playlist; which strips out tracks I’m auditioning for TPN Rock, anything under 30 seconds, anything by The Wombles, no podcasts, and other personal tweaks… not 100% random but there you go. I’m assuming I don’t have Richard Lester cocking up my life.
Opening Credits: Head in the Sky, by Atomic Rooster.
First Day At School: Lonely, by Eddie Cochran.
Falling In Love: Ooby Dooby, by Roy Orbison.
Breaking Up: Vision On (The Gallery from Take Hart), by The Johnny Seven.
Prom: Angel, by Aerosmith.
Mental Breakdown: Right Down the Line, by Gerry Rafferty.
Flashbacks: Too Shy, by Kajagoogoo.
Getting Back Together: Ruby Tuesday, by The Rolling Stones.
Wedding Scene: Searchin’, by The Coasters.
Final Battle: Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner, by Iron Maiden.
Death Scene: Running Away, by T’Pau.
Funeral Song: All Revved Up With No Place To Go, by Meatloaf.
End Credits: Go Your Own Way, by Fleetwood Mac.
Finale: Fuck Her Gently, by Tenacious D.
Which is all well and good, but I want to learn something from Blog Tag! So I’m going to add in the 2.0 compontent and decide what tunes The Director’s Cut would have (ie what would the list be like if I did the choosing, ranther than at random).
Opening Credits: Tank!, by Yoko Kano and the Seatbelts.
First Day At School: Heavy Traffic, by Status Quo.
Falling In Love: The Impossible Dream, by Andy Williams.
Breaking Up: Only You, by The Flying Pickets.
Prom: The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine No More, by The Walker Brothers.
Mental Breakdown: El Tango De Roxanne, from Moulin Rouge.
Flashbacks: Soho Square, by Kirsty MacColl.
Getting Back Together: Touch The Hand, by Bryan Adams.
Wedding Scene: The Wedding March, by Queen.
Final Battle: The Phantom Of The Opera, by Iron Maiden.
Death Scene: Stay, by Shakespear’s Sister.
Funeral Song: Broken, Sara Hawley and the Bang Bang Club.
End Credits: Thunderstruck, by AC/DC.
Finale: Wig Wam Bam, by The Sweet.
Time to ping back. Well CC obviously (I want to see what he’d pick for sure), Mark Hunter, Rachel Clarke, Dave Slusher and Tom Reynolds. You all know how it works now, and feel free to seed your blog as well to start it rolling - just like CC did.

[…] I’ve finally got me, time and my music all together in the same place to answer Ewan’s tagging of me for the latest meme to go round. What is the soundtrack of your life, if your soundtrack was on random. So, following the instructions, open the library, press random play, see what you get. […]
