Leith FM Warming Up The Transmitters for Five Year Broadcast

Yes, you read that right. No more four week long restricted service licence from Ofcom, the local community radio station here in North Edinburgh recieved the new five year licence from the regulators. Everything is almsot in place, and we’ll be on air by teh end of March.

I say we as I am involved in the station. I’ve just taken over management of the web site (and I’ll let you know when it’s updated), and I’ll be making sure that the station will have (in some form) a streaming output so everyone around the world can hear it on the internet. Podcasts too if I can get the legal stuff worked out and train the DJ’s on Podsafe. Yes I’m doing training as well - imagine a flotilla of little Ewan’s on the airwaves.

Mwuh-ha-hah!

I’m honestly both impressed by your amazing commitment and ‘get up and go’ and appalled by the way you’ve managed to wangle 36 hours a day from the big Guy upstairs when the rest of us have to settle for 24….

    8-)
