Reilly… Gervais… Curry… The Podfather

Nothing like passing on the crown – can we have an official ceremony for Ricky Gervais to hand over the Mario Puzo embossed certifiate to The Podcast Network’s Cameron Reilly?

After all, Gervais was sent a gilt edge business card and contract from Adam Curry when the ever so inventive mainstream media in Australlia (where the article is printed today) came up with “the best headline in the world for a podcast article!” Part of me loves the idea that, as in the movie, The Podfather pt 3 completes the cycle of the Capo finally legitimizing his business empire. Just as long as I’m not Sofia Coppola…

Indeed, may it be that none of us is Sofia Coppola. One of ‘em is bad enough.

Distressingly they don’t use that cracking image of Cam on the web. Maybe he should send them a horse head or two :-)

Dan, you’re dissing Sofia??? I’ll have to bitchslap you for that next time I see you. I’m pretty defensive of Sof. I thought she was an awesome Mary Corleone, an even better Michael Francis Rizzi (in Godfather Part 1) and Lost In Translation was a masterpiece. Prepare to duel, sir!
