BBC World Service – Second Life Discussion
A quick heads up for those watching the feed, I’ll be on the BBC World Service’s World Have Your Say at 1800 GMT this evening. I’ll be discussing Second Life (along with, I believe, Nicole Simon), and I understand you can phone in to the program to join the discussion.
Postscript: Well that was interesting – rather than featured speakers it was more akin to a regular phone in talk show, but they’ve set up a huge number of the callers in the ‘for’ argument (including myself) for their two minutes on air. So everything I was told I would be talking about got thrown out the windows as the person before me was a rather ‘East End Barrow Boy’ “why don’t you get up and out and meet people you, and think about the children.” Once that point was addressed it was pretty much time up. ANd as he came back in, the familiar sound of a ‘dump’ button being pressed to screen for bad language rang in my ear, the conversation moved on, and I was thanked for my time. Exciting? Not especially, but always good to experience talk radio from the other side of the line.
