Using Zulupad to Plan SXSW and March 2007
One of the things that the planning for the March Podcast Trip Around America needs (and especially the SXSW Shows) is a way to hold all teh little bits of information, notes and ideas in one place, that’s easily searchable. Normally I have a huge series of text files in place, but this year my PC has an Open Source application called ZuluPad which is doing this role.
Essentially it’s a super Notepad.exe replacement, with Wiki functionality. Each ZuluPad file holds as many pages of text as needed. I can highlight any word and make it a wiki link to a new page. What’s more interesting is as I type, it will automatically look at the index and hyperlink any wiki-words as I type.
Small, functional, but superbly useful. Definitly recommended.

As a Pastafarian living in North Wales I just thought I’d say hi. Wondering if you are in Wales UK or another Wales somewhere else. Well just to let you know that me and my two kids are spreading the word about His Noodly Appendage here and although we haven’t really converted anyone but ourselves don’t inrend to give up trying.
Hail His all seeing Meatballs!

Emacs/Xemacs org mode or muse mode do the same thing, and they are portable.
