Update: A big welcomet o the egualr Pods and Blogs listeners coming to here from the show notes. Yo ucan here more of my podcasting work at The Podcast Network, where I chair The Tech Conference Show, The PSP Show, and the thrice weekly TPN Rock Music Show. Feel free to email me at ewanspence@gmail.com.

BBC Radio 5 have a regular weekly spot for the blgosphere, called Pods and Blogs, hosted by Chris Vallance and Rhod Sharp. Last night’s show was one where Chris knew he was going to be away, so he glaned over his shoulder at the substitute’s bench to see who could do some reporting and features.

That would be me.

So last night, the insomniacs would have heard me on the Pods and Blogs hour of Up All Night. I had two sections, the first was a general chat (with Rhod) about what’s been happening in the blogosphere in the last week. I ended up chatting about Google’s Hard Drive survey (PDF here), Second Life restricting logins at peak hours, and AOL partially adopting OpenID.

I also did a feature interview with Ewan McIntosh on how blogs and social media are being used in the schools of East Lothian (by both teachers and pupils) and the positive effects and problems this can lead to. Step away from the mad Web 2.0 rush and there are hundreds of thousands of little stories like this where computing and the world are changing.

Those of you in the UK or with sneaky IP Forwarding can use the handy Listen Again feature up until Feb 26th to hear me take to the air[waves] yet again.

Now, where do I send my invoice? :-)
