The ‘Comfort’ of O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology

Flying into San Diego to attend O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology Conference and I was surprised to feel something that I’ve not felt for this whole trip - a sense of being on familiar ground. I know San Diego’s airport, I know the downtown area and the Gaslamp shops. I know where I’m staying (third year in a row now), I know the hotel where ETech is being held, and I know a heck of a lot of people at this conference (which leads to another interesting point - is familiarity with speakers and sessions at an Emerging Technology Conference before it starts a good thing?).

Anyway, ETech is the final leg of the March 2007 Tech Conference Trip - five more daily podcasts and I’ll be on a 777 heading back home over the Atlantic, just in time for the new series of Doctor Who…
