Podcrawl’s Hilary Tyler Joins The Podcast Network
Long ago, when podcasting was young, there was a site called Podcrawl (link via archive.org). On it, Hilary Tyler covered the daily news in the rapidly forming world of podcasting, watching for stories, reviewing shows, and generally letting everyone know just what was happening. As time passed, and the podcasting world expanded with more shows; and into video; and with companies and big businesses coming on board, Podcrawl continued to watch over it. But there came a point where Hilary couldn’t keep up the high standards she demanded of the site. So Podcrawl reached the end of its journey.
But not the end of Hilary’s journey – that continues.
I’m really happy to announce today that Hilary will be joining Cameron, myself and the rest of the team at The Podcast Network. Rather than running a show, she’ll be playing to her strengths and taking over the day to day running of The TPN Blog. Once we blow the dust away, expect it to become the best overall look of The Podcast Network that we can provide, from pointing out ‘a very special episode of Blossom G’Day World‘ to star guests and competitons around the network; talking about plans for big events, and of course announcing new shows as they arrive at TPN.
While we’re an audio/visual network at heart, it can’t help to fail to be noticed that the Internet world revolves around text – that’s why we all have blogs for our podcast shows, fill in show notes, link to the websites of guests, bands and advertisers, etc. Having any dedicated blogger for TPN would be a positive, but to have someone of Hilary’s standing and knowledge is just an incredible asset as we continue to grow.
