One Nation Under Whatever You Think Helps You Get Through Life
From the inauguration speech of Barack Obama (my emphasis):
"For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus – and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter… as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.
There’s always been part of me that looked at the “one nation under god” section of America that makes me pause. To have this acknowledged on the steps of the Capitol Building made me smile. Shannon Clark says it so much better though…

I always liked Parliament (the band)’s notion of “One Nation Under a Groove.” Now *that* one I can get behind.
