Shatnerquake and Customer Service

Just before I left for Moscow, I spotted (via Boing Boing) the delightfully sounding book “Shatnerquake!”

It’s Shatner vs. Shatners!

William Shatner? William Shatner. WILLIAM SHATNER!!! It’s the first ShatnerCon with William Shatner as the guest of honor! But after a failed terrorist attack by Campbellians, a crazy terrorist cult that worships Bruce Campbell, all of the characters ever played by William Shatner are suddenly sucked into our world. Their mission: hunt down and destroy the real William Shatner.

Which really just needs to be read, it’s fantastic in a B-movie sort of way (and I’d love to see a movie version, CGI be damned). But it was a few days before I travelled, and it was only available in the US. Still, I emailed the team at Bizarro Books (Eraserhead Press) and asked if they had a UK distributor.

Can I just say, publicly, a huge thank you to Rose O’Keefe at Eraserhead for making sure that (a) I had a copy for my travels, and (b) letting me make sure I could pay my dues to author Jeff Burk.
