Disturbing rise in PR fluff around cyber attacks in the UK #
So what is a “disturbing rise” in cyber attacks? Is it more than four?
Is it thirty-seven million bots attacking the BBC News website as a random bit of background noise instead of the twenty-four million bot attacks that happened last year? Perhaps it’s the rise in American viewers hitting the iPlayer website to try to watch the geo-locked version of Doctor Who?
Until GCHQ provides some raw data so this can be quantified by a third-party, I’ll file it in the tray marked “give us more money, it’s a really dangerous world but we can’t tell you because it’s complicated”.
