Turns out the Royal Mail lifted the ‘only the Queen and dead people’ on stamps rule in 2005. Bang goes my trivia line of ‘Roger Taylor getting away with being on a stamp not because he was the Queen, but because he was in Queen.’

Andrew Hammond of the Royal Mail said the commemorative selection “pay tribute to the brilliant actors that have played the Doctor over the years, as well as the adversaries that helped make the show so popular”.
