Improving maps through the world’s capatcha systems

Today’s sneaky bit of speculation. There’s a lot of capatcha out there, and I’ve seen the sudden rise of ‘numbers’ appearing in the images, especially on Blogger. And these numbers look a lot like images of house numbers, as if they’ve been taken by a camera from the street. Or from a moving car that’s capturing image data.

I guess the experiment they ran last year with addresses proved successful. Well played, Google, well played.
