Teething Tuesdays
oh today’s been hard-going! Mairi’s been fairly inconsolable for parts of it (but her usual smiley self inbetweentimes) and I’ve spent a lot of time cuddling her and rubbing her gums. This afternoon when I was in the Early Learning Centre with my mum I felt the sharp bumps where her bottom two front teeth have [...]
Eilidh and Mairi’s Development Check
From Vikki
The girls both had development checks today, and Mairi had her first set of immunisations too.
Mairi’s check went well, the only issue is that she sleeps on her front instead of her back - the health visitor said as long as we keep trying her on her back she should eventually learn to sleep [...]
Lots of New Pics
From Vikki:
I’ve finally got around to updating the girls’ website again - pictures from the last month and from the naming day/birthday party. Could anyone who was there and took pictures email copies of any good ones please - I forgot to take any other than of Mairi in her christening robe!
Things are going well [...]
When Did Things Switch Around?
When I was a child, I remember having to run to keep up with my parents. Now I’m a father, I need to run to keep up with my children…
All Moved In
From Vikki
We’ve finally moved in! It’s been a bit hectic, and I’ve found it a lot harder than Ewan has, and there’s a lot we can’t find yet (and a fair bit that got left behind, like the clothespegs, kitchen bin and the tray for Eilidh’s high chair) but at least now we have decent [...]
Safely in Edinburgh
For those keeping track, we’re now it the new house in Edinburgh. Still surrounded by lots of boxes, and no broadband… yet. More later.
Moving Out Date Confirmed
The morning of Thursday 12th August will be when the hopelessly incompetent “Flemings oof Rosyth” Removals van is scheduled to turn up to bring back 30 plus boxes of stuff, 1 pallett of Historical PDA’s, a MAME cabinet, numerous videos and dvds, and everything else Vikki, EIlidh, Mairi and I have lived with since moving [...]
Mairi’s Two Weeks Old Already
From Vikki
Mairi’s two weeks old now. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown! The midwife was here today because Mairi hadn’t yet regained her birth weight (though she’d only lost 7oz from 7lb 14oz) and after feeding like a little piggie for the last few days and looking very drunk after each feed, [...]
More Mairi
From Vikki
We haven’t got around to updating Eilidh’s website (the plan being to split the site between her and Mairi) so here’s a few “loose” pictures for now. Some of you may have seen some of them already. They’re in chronological order, from Mairi at around 20 minutes old to this morning at five days [...]
Mairi’s Home
For those of you without children, you won’t realise that the time you want to spend with them rises exponentially when you bring the second one home. But I would’t change anything about my family for the world.
