Where to Buy a PSP Online

PSP Base Unit
The easiest and cheapest way to pick up a PSP is in the base pack. This is as basic as you can get, with just the console itself, the 1800ma battery and an A/C charger. If you’re looking for a second unit for someone in thw family, then you could do far worse than the base unit, but in all honesty I think you’re far better going for a Value Pack, if only because the Base Unit has no memory stick, you won’t be able to store any of your saved games or progress files.
PSP Value Pack
I think that this is the best way to buy a PSP. You get everything that’s in the base unit package (ie the PSP, charger and battery), but you also get a decent set of accessories included. Okay they’re not stunning, but they are very practical. You get a wrist strap (which may see pithy, but when your in a plane or train bouncing around, the confidence is noticable); a soft slip case to store the PSP in (not a huge amount of protection, but enough when it’s sitting in your bag or on your desk; a set of in-ear headphones and a remote control for controlling video and music playback; and finally a 32mb Memory Stick to store your game saves and (potentially) a handful of MP3’s.
PSP Giga Pack
Similar to the Value pack, the Giga Pack replaces the bundled 32mb stick with a massive 1gb memory stick, and a USB connectivity cable.
With the price of 1gb Memory Stick around 20 pounds as I write this, and the USB cable is a standard USB to Mini-USB, it’s actually cheaper to buy a Value Pack and the extra accessories instead of a Giga pack, but always be aware that with a UMD game or two, the Giga pack value might prove to be worthwhile.
